Holiday Inn in Darwin undergoes major refurbishment

The hotel is undergoing a facelift which includes refurbishment of 200 rooms.

Matt Electric has been awarded the contract to undertake all the electrical installation work, data cabling and lighting systems for the refurbishment.

Matt Hanley, Managing Director of Matt Electric commented: “We are excited about the prospect of taking the hotel to another level. The new design is very modern and contemporary. It is a great project for us to work on, because we are using the latest in technology to deliver an outstanding guest experience.”

The Holiday Inn project should be finished by mid 2010 and forms part of a broader global rebrand of Intercontinental Hotels aimed at ensuring consistency and an increased level of quality and service.
